Massage and Bodywork Rooted in Wellness.
I am a believer that all bodies need massage. Simply living in the world requires quite a demand on our muscles, bones and fascia and the ability to "let it all melt away" on the massage table is a true necessity. The body is a very complex system and it is all interconnected. Sometimes you may feel a kink in your neck but it's really stemming from your pelvis. Because of this interconnected network, I address your whole body to assist in specific treatment work and realignment so you can move with ease in the world.
Deep Tissue treatment focuses on painful, stiff "trouble spots" in your body. This type of treatment is designed to reach the deeper sections of thick muscles, and specifically address and loosen the individual muscle fibres.
Facial restrictions can be painful and cause restricted range of motion within the body. Myofascial release gently yet deeply unsticks these layers of bound tissue and muscle.
A gentle method that helps to reduce swelling in the body and restore lymphatic pathways back to wellness- great option for pre & post surgery or acute injuries.
Cupping therapy uses silicone cups to create a vacuum over the specific points of the body. The suction inside the cups lifts the skin away from the body to create negative pressure, as opposed to the positive pressure induced by massage. This style of treatment is helpful for muscles that feel very tight, stuck or nearly immobile.
Scar tissue release is usually comprised of a series of treatments over time to improve circulation and movement in the body and help soften the scars over time. I work with all types of scars and have a specialty working with scars resulting from chest reconstruction.
Tender Point Release uses passive and painless positioning to reduce your pain and spasm while improving your motion and function. This technique "dissolves" your painful tender points, even ones that have persisted for years.
