Beyond the Binary: a Workshop educating providers on gender affirming Care

In this course learning to work with transgender and gender diverse clients, Healthcare Providers will be trained on trans-competency & gender affirming care through addressing:
identity and gender politics
language
marginalized communities and intersectionality
inclusive intake forms
current barriers around care
trauma informed care
caring for bodies that don't fit the mold
how to genuinely show up to and hold space for vulnerable populations
In addition, we will also address and craft treatment plans with specific issues related to gender affirming procedures/ surgeries and working with clients on hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
At this unique time in history, there is a tremendous need for competent providers serving these communities. This workshop will provide you with the tools you need to feel confident expanding your practice to include those outside of the gender binary system.
Gender Diversity & LGBTQ+ Coaching sessions for allies:
Uniquely crafted coaching sessions for you and your questions and inquiries as a professional working with gender diverse or LGBTQ+ clients. These sessions are available to anyone regardless of profession.
1:1 mentoring sessions for those who are looking for more in-depth training on how to genuinely hold space for transgender & gender diverse friends/family/colleagues/clients.

Launching a massage practice is a big endeavor. It takes time to establish, build community and get a good rhythm going. These individually crafted 1:1 coaching sessions are available to LMT’s who are in any stage of their business. Some examples of ways we can work together: structuring your setup efficiently, tips for smoother operations, stepping into and establishing boundaries in an empowering way, creating an energetic container for each client session, leaving work at work and many countless other possibilities. These are uniquely crafted sessions to meet your exact needs and support you along the way.

About Luigi:
I created and began teaching the Beyond the Binary workshop in 2017 alongside working as a gender support coach after a lifelong journey as a trans/non-binary queer person. I am a licensed healthcare provider in WA and am tremendously grateful for the opportunity to have worked with many teachers, healers and leaders who have offered me invaluable tools for myself and to share with others on similar paths. It feels natural for me to hold space for and provide support where needed for others on their journey.
I’ve always admired and looked to queer elders for encouragement and to think about their journeys as well: the tough paths they’ve walked in order to pave the way for us. To this day, Stone Butch Blues (Leslie Feinberg RIP) remains one of the core inspirations for my journey and I couldn’t be more grateful for how brave they were to share their story living in very different times.
I have also built a thriving bodywork practice since 2015 as a Licensed Massage Therapist who works with our community in pre-post surgery preparation and a variety of other gender-affirming, trauma-informed, body-positive hands on bodywork in Seattle & Tacoma WA. It is with great pleasure to serve the community through gender support and bodywork while providing a welcoming and uplifting environment for everyone on their unique and beautiful journey.
