My scar is soft, does this mean the scar tissue is gone?

Not always. A scar can be soft and pliable on the surface of the skin but have roots underneath that could still be adhering to muscle, fascia and bone potentially causing restrictions in movement, sensation and blood flow

The area around my scar is still pretty numb and i don’t have much sensation, can this be treated?

Yes, it absolutely can! Oftentimes the area around the scar can be numb for a while or forever if not treated. In our bodywork sessions, we will work the area around the scar to improve blood flow and nerve sensation. I have had very successful outcomes with clients regaining sensation around scars. If you are comfortable touching the scar and the areas around it, you can start right now at home as touch is the number one way for nerves to come back online!

My scars are a few years old but I still feel a slight tugging / pulling around them when I raise my arms fully or move in certain ways, is it too late to improve this?

It’s never too late to improve range of motion due to scar tissue! We will test out your range of motion on the table and work the muscles and connective tissue to “unstick” the areas of adhesion to have you moving with a sense of ease again. You will leave the session feeling the improvement
